"Inventor" was hacking mail services, social network accounts and other web resources.
The cyber police exposed the man in unauthorized access to user accounts of the network. The defendant created a virus program, with the help of which he got access to accounts of mail services, social network accounts and other web resources of citizens, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
Employees of the Department of Cyber Police, together with the Main Investigation Department of the NPU, under the procedural direction of the Office of the Attorney General, exposed the man in unauthorized access to Internet user accounts.
Cyberpolice found that a Kiev resident born in 1999 was involved in such activities. The defendant created malware on his own. Using this virus program, he gained access to accounts of mail services, social network accounts, game portals and other web resources.
In addition, a man distributed this malware on a thematic web forum.
Law enforcement officers searched the place of residence of the defendant. According to the results, computer equipment, flash drives, a mobile phone and a bank card were seized.
On this fact, criminal proceedings under part 2 of Art. 361 (Unauthorized interference with the operation of electronic computers (computers), automated systems, computer networks or telecommunication networks) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of article provides imprisonment for a period of three till six years.
