BackBox, also known as BackBox Linux, is a variant of the Linux operating system based on Ubuntu.
It comes bundled with many tools for network penetration testing, security testing and ethical hacking.
It can be used to intercept packets on the network, reprogramming compiled programs and other tasks that may be required by a security expert.
BackBox was developed in Italy by one person, Raffaele Forte, and first released in 2010.
Since then, he has developed a dedicated user community; his official website is atwww.backbox.org .
The BackBox Team is pleased to announce the release of BackBox Linux 5.3. In this major release, we made some structural changes, removed obsolete tools, and added new tools. New content is as follows:
