WASHINGTON, August 12 – RIA Novosti. The US District Court of Florida has released Russian citizen Pavel Kublitsky on bail, accused of cyber fraud, according to documents published in the court’s electronic database on Monday.
Last week, citizens of Kazakhstan and Russia Alexander Khodyrev and Pavel Kublitsky were arrested in the US on charges of cybercrime. According to an arrest warrant obtained by RIA Novosti, US law enforcement agencies believe they are involved in administering a platform for exchanging data and selling illegally obtained darknet information WWH.
According to court documents, Kublitsky was released on bail of $100,000 after a preliminary hearing last Friday. The court ordered the Russian to voluntarily surrender his passports and travel documents to US authorities, banned him from using a smartphone, and also placed him under surveillance and house arrest.
As previously reported, Khodyrev and Kublitsky arrived in the United States in 2022 and applied for asylum. According to court documents, the two men settled in Florida, where they lived a luxurious lifestyle without having official employment.
