The Magistrate's Court of the Tagansky District of Moscow found Google guilty of an administrative offense in refusing to localize the data of Russians on the territory of the Russian Federation.

A magistrate court in Moscow fined Google three million rubles for the corporation's refusal to localize the data of its users in Russia. TASS was told about this in the press service of the court.

The corporation was found guilty of violating Russian personal data laws. The court made such a decision for the first time, earlier Google was fined 4 million rubles for refusing to remove prohibited content.

Recall that in 2020, fines were awarded to Facebook and Twitter for a similar offense. The amount of fines amounted to four million rubles.
