According to researchers, the cybercriminal group Lazarus, allegedly associated with the DPRK government, planned a large-scale malicious operation on June 21 this year, during which about 5 million companies and individuals in six countries should receive phishing emails. Messages must be sent from fake government accounts, and their topics are related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In particular, phishing emails should receive victims in Singapore, the USA, Great Britain, South Korea, India and Japan. It is worth noting that in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the governments of these countries launched material assistance programs for businesses and citizens.
