In Udmurtia, a sentence was passed against a 24-year-old resident of Izhevsk for 19 crimes in the field of computer technology under Part 1 of Art. 138 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the secrecy of correspondence, telephone conversations, postal, telegraphic or other messages”) - 9 episodes, part 2 of Art. 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal access to computer information"). This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the TFR.

It was found that the man bought passwords and logins from personal accounts of users of one of the social networks. After changing the password to a new one and making sure that the account was active, he sent spam messages on behalf of the users. On advertising goods and services, a man earned a percentage of product sales.

“From January to April of this year, he managed to gain access to the pages of ten users of the social network, as a result of which they were blocked by the administration of the social network, and also violated the users' right to privacy of correspondence,” the press service noted.

Taking into account that the crimes of minor and medium gravity were committed by the accused for the first time, he was fined 10 thousand rubles.
