In April of this year, Iran launched a cyber attack on several Israeli water and sanitation facilities. According to Fox News, Iran used American servers during a cyber attack.

Fox News's foreign correspondent, Trey Yingst, told social media on Twitter that "according to a senior official at the US Department of Energy, Donald Trump’s administration is doing everything possible to protect its allies from cyber attacks." The U.S. Department of Energy declined to comment on the situation, but assured that the investigation was ongoing.

Recall last month, Israeli authorities reportedabout cyber attacks on several water supply and purification facilities. The agency received reports of attempts to invade the systems of treatment facilities, water pumping stations and sewer networks, but did not disclose the names of the affected enterprises. As it became known later, the attackers targeted the programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used to control the valves, but they were not able to do any damage.
