In Transcarpathia, in the city of Mukachevo, law enforcement officers exposed a bank employee in embezzlement of funds of their clients.

This was reported by the press service of the cyber police of Ukraine.

To do this, he changed the information that is processed in an electronic computer.

A resident of the Transcarpathian region worked as a specialist in pawnshop lending to one of the Ukrainian banks. Police found that, having access to a computer program, her husband changed the information that is processed for pawnshop activities. He entered inaccurate information on applications for joining the loan conditions on the security of a precious metal, and thus appropriated 700 thousand hryvnias.

The offender was exposed by cyber police officers together with the police of the city of Mukachevo.

The man was informed of suspicion under part 1, 3 of art. 191 and parts 1, 3 of Art. 362 of the Criminal Code, that is, the appropriation and embezzlement of property, or the seizure of it by abuse of official position and the unauthorized use of information with a computer. He faces three to eight years in prison.

Recall that the police received a message from a 79-year-old pensioner stating that she was forced to pay back loans that she did not file.
