Cyber police officers in the Kharkiv region, together with regional police investigators, in the procedural leadership of the regional prosecutor's office, exposed three members of a criminal group for forging official documents and holographic security elements on documents.
The cyber police found that a 57-year-old organizer and two 30-year-old performers were involved in such actions.
Men on the Internet offered to make fake registration documents for stolen cars, the so-called auto-doubles and certificates for the right to drive a car.
For manufacturing, they used computer technology and a special program. Payment for such services was received on electronic and cryptocurrency wallets, issued to front persons.
Militiamen conducted authorized searches in the places of residence of the defendants and seized the computer equipment that was used to make counterfeits.
The police have proven the involvement of the attackers in 44 offenses.
All defendants were informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 199 (Manufacturing, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, import into Ukraine for the purpose of using in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money, government securities, state lottery tickets, excise duty stamps or holographic security elements), Part 3 of Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and letterheads, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps), part 3 of Art. 28 (commission of a crime by an organized group) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
They face imprisonment for up to twelve years with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation has now been completed. The case materials were sent to the court.
