The man is awaiting a trial, the decision of which can be very harsh - imprisonment for up to 7 years. In the Vladimir region, a criminal case has been initiated against a local hacker. A man penetrated into legally protected computer information via the Internet and deleted it. According to the press service of the FSB Directorate for the Vladimir Region, the resident of Kovrov, born in 1982, entered the information resources of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute Signal (part of the High-Precision Complexes holding of the Rostec State Corporation, containing computer information protected by law.
- According to the investigation, in February 2020. the specified citizen, being at the place of residence in the city of Kovrov, through a personal computer connected to the information and telecommunications network "Internet", using the personal login and password of employees of JSC "Signal", carried out illegal access to the information resources of the enterprise and removed (destroyed) a limited in access and legally protected information, - reported the press service of the FSB.
A criminal case was initiated against the man under Part 1 of Art. 272 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal access to computer information).
The press service of the regional FSB department refrained from commenting on how the resident of Kovrov got access to the passwords of the institute's employees.
