Dutch police report conducting a large-scale operation against an unnamed "bulletproof" hosting service, confiscating approximately 250 physical servers in data centers in The Hague and Zoetermeer. Thousands of virtual servers were subsequently taken offline. Media reports believe the hosting provider in question is CrazyRDP.
Law enforcement is not disclosing the name of the service, but it has been operating since 2022 and has been implicated in over 80 cybercrime investigations, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
According to investigators, the hosting service offered its clients anonymity and guaranteed non-cooperation with police. Its resources hosted ransomware, botnets, phishing campaigns, and even hosted content related to child sexual abuse.
Investigators are currently conducting a forensic analysis of the seized equipment to identify the service's operators and clients. Although the name of the "bulletproof" hosting provider isn't mentioned in official law enforcement statements, Bleeping Computer's
own sources claim it's CrazyRDP. This service offered clients VPS and RDP services without KYC or logs, with registration requiring only a username and password. The publication notes that it was often recommended as reliable on the darknet. On November 12, all posts on CrazyRDP's official Telegram channel were deleted, and subscribers were redirected to a new channel discussing the service's sudden closure. Clients wrote that some of them had over 30 servers hosted on the platform. Many suspected an exit scam—CrazyRDP technical support initially cited problems with the data center, but then simply stopped responding.
